Under passes are worn while riding to hold the pant leg down — they go over the boot. Freedman Jods come with them; Kerrits do not, so plan to add them.
Tie hair back in a low ponytail, braid, or bun so the helmet fits properly.
Bring water in the summer. Dress warm in layers for the cold.
